
The estate Finca Vigía (Finca Vigia), where the writer lived from 1939 to 1961, is located in a suburb of the Cuban capital Havana.
American Foundation Finca Vigia was approved by Cuban authorities for the supply of materials from the United States needed to restore the capital at home, an agreement to this effect was signed on Saturday, according to TV channel CNN.

In December 2014, US President Barack Obama announced his intention to normalize diplomatic relations with Cuba, as well as ease trade restrictions. After that, the project has received support from both countries.
The writer's widow donated the house of the Cuban authorities, so they made it a museum, where there are books, clothes and even a collection of lizards preserved in alcohol.
